What type of Digital Camera should I buy?

Can you answer thetravelingmartins’s question about Photography?:
My current digital camera has worn out its welcome and I need to know what digital camera I should buy. I am looking for a camera that doesn’t require batteries. I want one that I can charge up. Also, I want one that can take pictures fast. My current camera takes the picture about 5 seconds after you push the button. Those are really my only two requirements. Does anyone have any good suggestions?
I meant double A batteries. I have to change my batteries in my camera that I have now after 5 pictures.

Photography Feedback: First of all, all cameras require batteries. Just different types.
The only way you can take pictures fast is with a DSLR. Those start at about $450.

Once you’re ready to buy a new digital camera, you can find a lot of them on eBay.
Photography Feedback: I loved my Kodak EasyShare and it took wonderful pictures until my son decided to throw a ball at me while I was taking pictures. Everyone always commented on the great pictures I took when I had that camera. We replaced it with a Panasonic DMC-TZ3. The guy at the professional camera store tried to tell me that it’s not the camera that takes a good picture but the person taking the picture. Well, he was wrong. I absolutely HATE the Panasonic camera. The pictures are always blurry or out of focus. My husband is a CSI and uses a very expensive camera at work, so I let him use my camera thinking that maybe I was doing something wrong. His pics turned out just the same as mine. I would not recommend the Panasonic to anyone. I’m going back to Kodak. The only reason I switched was the idiot at the camera store told me that Kodak was getting out of the camera business! Ugh.
